The National Park is where the largest elephant population in the world treads determinedly across the dusty ground and the African Fish eagle swoops down to the great river, uttering his charismatic call, you will find a new Botswana wilderness to explore. And not only is Chobe National Park famous for its huge herds of elephants but also for its buffalo as well as the associated predators such as large pride of lions that have learned to hunt them. There are also numerous antelope and other plains game as well as vast pods of hippos wallowing in the shallows of the river Chobe. After a full day of safari bliss in the Chobe National Park, you will return to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

Day 4 - 7Victoria Falls – Livingstone – Lower Zambezi

After a leisurely breakfast, you may still have time to squeeze in one last activity before being transferred to Livingstone Airport in Zambia. On arrival at the airport board your flight to Lusaka and then to Kulefu Airstrip.

On arrival at the airstrip, a guide will be waiting to take you on a 15 mn road transfer to Anabezi Camp located on the banks of the almighty Zambezi River. Anabezi Camp, a distinguished luxury safari camp set on the Eastern End of the Lower Zambezi National Park will be your home for the following five days. Accommodation here consists of 11 large luxurious tents including two bedrooms family suite. Each luxury tent has its own private plunge pool set into the expansive wood deck with a stunning view. The tents are generously spaced along the Zambezi Riverbank and the Mushika floodplain, allowing the game to wander in and around the camp freely.

Enjoy a combination of water and land daily activities. Mesmerising game drives, tranquil river cruises, exciting fishing expeditions, canoe trips down the Zambezi’s quiet and secluded channels, wilderness walks accompanied by an experienced scout, and spectacular birding excursions are all part of the Anabezi experience.

The proximity of Anabezi to the Zambezi River and its position within the National Park lends itself to unparalleled wildlife encounters. A game drive will reveal a kaleidoscope of African animals, flourishing in their natural environment. An evening expedition may reveal one of our resident leopards, while on a morning drive, you will almost certainly bump into a herd of elephants and may see local pride of lions or endangered wild dogs on an early morning hunting foray. Slow afternoons casting the Zambezi River for the legendary tiger fish will captivate fishing enthusiasts, while a leisurely paddle in a canoe down one of the river channels will reveal a distant hippo, waterbuck, or a formidable gathering of buffalo. Whether you prefer a walk through the ethereal atmosphere of the Winterthorn forest or a sundowner overlooking the Zambezi flooded in the hazy afternoon light, you will have it all.

Room Type: Luxury Safari Tent
