Day 1 - 3Maun – Khwai Concession

On arrival at Maun International Airport, you will be welcome by our representative and assisted with check-in on your Charter flight to the Okavango Delta. Lose yourself in the marvelous scenery from your private window as you fly at a low altitude over the Delta waterways. On arrival at the Airstrip, you will be met by the camp’s team, sit back and enjoy a mini-game transfer to your Okavango Delta accommodation.

A journey to the Okavango Delta – deep inside Africa’s pristine interior – is like no other, encompassing vast wetlands and expansive drylands. Visitors traverse the Delta’s meandering waterways, passing palm- and papyrus-fringed islands, thick woodland, resplendent with lush vegetation, and teeming with rich wildlife.

On arrival at the camp, enjoy welcome drinks while completing check-in procedures. Settle in one of the 10 luxury Tents at Machaba Camp, a traditional-style camp in a riverine tree line of the game-rich Khwai area. The Khwai Concession is a 35 000-hectare reserve situated in the northeastern section of the Okavango Delta and it shares its westerly border with the Moremi Game Reserve.

The understated, ‘50s-style Machaba Camp is located in the game-rich 180,000ha Khwai concession of the Okavango Delta adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. The Machaba tree is aptly considered the tree of life, and the camp is a lively place because of them, with game-viewing and bird-watching around Machaba Camp always an exciting experience that offers plenty to see at every turn.

Accommodation at Machaba strikes the perfect balance between class and comfort, with 10 Luxury Tents nestled in the treeline along the Khwai River and overlooking the gorgeous Moremi Game Reserve. Each tent features an en-suite bathroom, a living area, and an intimate and romantic outdoor shower. Children are always welcome at Machaba, with two of the tents catering specifically to families.

Explore the magnificent environment on game drives, walking safaris, and mokoros (traditional dugout canoe), indulge in some bush pampering in the privacy of your suite, or just soak up the sights and sounds of the magnificent African bush.

Day 4Khwai Concession – Gomoti Plains Camp

Enjoy your last morning activity in the Khwai area followed by a leisurely delicious breakfast before your mi-morning transfer to the camp’s airstrip in time for your scenic charter flight south over the Delta, landing at Qorokwe Airstrip after around 15 minutes. A guide will be waiting to take you to Gomoti Plains, a half-hour 4WD game drive, keeping an eye out for wildlife throughout the journey.

On arrival at the camp, enjoy welcome drinks while completing check in procedures. Settle in one of the 10 luxury classic safari tents at Gomoti Plains Camp located in a community-run private concession. Due to its location, in addition to the classic wildlife activities – morning and afternoon game drives, guests can also look forward to night drives and off-road viewing in the Okavango Delta.

The area is known for its large concentrations of wildlife which thrive on the Gomoti plains and waterways. This exclusive area has been a well-kept secret for many years.

Day 5 - 6Exploring Gomoti Plains Camp and its surroundings

Situated on the edge of the Gomoti River system and floodplains in the centre of the Okavango Delta, Gomoti Plains Camp is nestled into evergreen riparian woodland with the central area featuring a beautifully outfitted large mess tent full of colour and style, housing the dining area and lounge, a perfect spot to relax in between morning and afternoon

Accommodation is in ten classic safari tents (two of which are family tents). Each tent is tastefully furnished with safari-style décor and is equipped with stunning teak chairs and a wardrobe. All raised on wooden decks, the tents boast great views of the floodplains beyond, and each room has a shaded veranda.

Game drives take you along the river system and floodplains, or you can choose to take to the water in a mokoro canoe. Glide along the tranquil waterways and enjoy the Delta and its wildlife from a different angle – a wonderfully tranquil way to explore the waterways.

Day 7Okavango Delta – Johannesburg

This morning, after your last morning safari activity followed by breakfast, it is time to bid farewell to the staff at Gomoti Plains, before being transferred back to the airstrip for your charter flight back to Maun. Enjoy wilderness views as you fly low over the waterways of the Okavango Delta.

On Arrival at Maun International Airport, board your onward flight to Johannesburg for a night stop over at the five-star Intercontinental OR Tambo Hotel.

Your accommodation is in a Deluxe King Room on Bed and Breakfast.

InterContinental Johannesburg O.R Tambo Airport is a luxurious 5-star hotel conveniently located opposite OR Tambo International Airport and only 9.4km (5.8 mi) from the centre of Johannesburg. Day 8Johannesburg – Mahé

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and depending on your flight departure time, enjoy the amenities on offer at the hotel you may embark on a morning city tour of Johannesburg or Pretoria OR if history is your fort a visit to the Apartheid Museum or that of Soweto will be an opportunity to learn how people suffered under the state-sanctioned apartheid system and their struggle to overthrow the tyrannical ruling party; but also places a spotlight on the incredible tenacity and strength of character of the people who fought for freedom and equality in South Africa.

Later board your flight to Mahé in Seychelles. You will be met on arrival at Seychelles International Airport by our representative and transferred to your hotel Eden Bleu for an overnight to allow for the flight connection to your next destination: Alphonse Island
Eden Bleu Hotel is a luxury gem located just 5 minute’s drive from both the airport and the capital Victoria.

Mahe is not only the gateway to this tropical paradise but is also home to Seychelles’ capital city Victoria, along with around 90% of the country’s population. It is the largest and most developed island in the Seychelles archipelago.

Day 9Mahé - Alphonse Island

You will be transferred to the domestic charter departure in the vicinities of Seychelles International Airport this morning in time to connect with your charter flight to Alphonse Island. It is a journey of about an hour. Upon arrival at the Island airstrip, you will be welcomed by the Island’s team.

The geographical isolation of Alphonse Island creates an atmosphere of undisturbed solitude that encourages you to forget about the outside world and immerse yourself in all the natural wonders and unique experiences that the island has to offer.

Day 10 - 15Alphonse Island
