Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 – 4Lower Zambezi National Park

Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you onto your light-scheduled domestic aircraft. From here you will be flown to Jeki Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi National Park. You will be welcomed at the airstrip by a guide waiting to take you on a 1h30 mn game drive road transfer through the Lower Zambezi to Anabezi Camp located on the banks of the almighty Zambezi River.

Anabezi Camp, a distinguished luxury safari camp set on the Eastern End of the Lower Zambezi National Park will be your home for the following five days. Accommodation here consists of 11 large luxurious tents including two bedrooms family suite. Each luxury tent has its private plunge pool set into the expansive wood deck with a stunning view. The tents are generously spaced along the Zambezi Riverbank and the Mushika floodplain, allowing the game to wander in and around the camp freely. Enjoy a combination of water and land daily activities.

Mesmerising game drives, tranquil river cruises, exciting fishing expeditions, canoe trips down the Zambezi’s quiet and secluded channels, wilderness walks accompanied by an experienced scout, and spectacular birding excursions are all part of the Anabezi experience.

The proximity of Anabezi to the Zambezi River and its position within the National Park lends itself to unparalleled wildlife encounters. A game drive will reveal a kaleidoscope of African animals, flourishing in their natural environment. An evening expedition may reveal one of our resident leopards, while on a morning drive, you will almost certainly bump into a herd of elephants and may see local pride of lions or endangered wild dogs on an early morning hunting foray. Slow afternoons casting the Zambezi River for the legendary tiger fish will captivate fishing enthusiasts, while a leisurely paddle in a canoe down one of the river channels will reveal a distant hippo, waterbuck, or a formidable gathering of buffalo.

Whether you prefer a walk through the ethereal atmosphere of the Winterthorn forest or a sundowner overlooking the Zambezi flooded in the hazy afternoon light, you will have it all.

Room Type: Luxury Safari Tents
Meal Basis: All meals including selected local drinks and house wine

Day 5 - 7South Luangwa National Park

Today after a last morning activity followed by breakfast, you will be driven back to Jeki airstrip in time for your scheduled domestic flight to Mfuwe Airport (or via Lusaka depending on the travel season) in the South Luangwa National Park known as the birthplace of the walking safari and one of the premier game viewing destinations in Zambia and throughout Africa.

On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, you will be welcomed by the Bushcamp team for a game drive transfer to Bilimungwe Bushcamp, a small warm, and welcoming gem sets beneath a huge mahogany tree where the traditions of the African bushcamp meet elegance and style to create a stunning camp that feels like it has grown organically out of the surrounding landscape. The “plat de resistance” of this camp is its shady lounge area that overlooks a series of three waterholes which offer 24-hour unrivalled wildlife viewings. Therefore, for those that want to take some time out to relax, there is no need to venture too far from the camp to see wildlife as it is available at their doorsteps. Settle down in a cosy armchair with a sundowner and watch an enviable display of spectacular birds and animals that clearly feel as comfortable here as you do.

With the open waters of the Luangwa River just a couple of steps away and a nearby plain where leopards prowl, it’s clear that this is a nature-lovers paradise, and with  Bilimungwe’s award-winning resident guide Manda Chisanga to lead you on guided walking safaris, day and night game drives, and birdwatching, you could not be in better hands.

Room Type: Exclusive Use of the camp (all 4 thatched Chalets)
Meal Basis: Full Board including selected local drinks and house wine

Day 8 - 10Victoria Falls National Park

Enjoy your last safari activity in the game-rich Luangwa valley (depending on your flight time) followed by breakfast and farewells to the Camp’s staff, you be transferred by road to Mfuwe Airport for your scheduled flight to Livingstone via Lusaka.

On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met by your driver for a private road transfer to The Elephant Camp, a luxury safari Lodge sets within the Victoria Falls National Park and overlooking the Zambezi Gorges with a magnificent view of the Victoria Falls spray.

The Elephant Camp has been rated one of the best-tented lodges in Zimbabwe, is within close proximity to Victoria Falls and the bustling tourist town in Victoria Falls, and is considered the perfect base from which to experience the thundering majesty of Victoria Falls. You will spend the last 3 nights of your multi-generational safari here and after a day exploring the wonders of this magic tourist town, come back to the luxury of your Suite and soak up the sun by dipping in your private plunge pool.

Your stay at the Luxury Elephant Camp includes a list of complementary activities for you and your loved ones to enjoy and keep busy during your visit to Victoria Falls. Amongst those are a guided tour of the Falls, a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi Royal, a Victoria Falls Canopy Tour, lunch at the Look Out Café, and more.

But if spiking your adrenaline is something that turns you on, you’ll be spoilt for choice here as the 111m/364ft bungee jump from the bridge above the falls into the gorge, White-water rafting (better August to December when water levels are lower), gorge swing, flying fox and zipline over Batoka Gorge as well as the Helicopter Flight of Angels over the Falls are ALL yours to experience.
